Puget Sound Garter

PUGET SOUND GARTER is found soley in the Puget Sound area of Washington state, this species is truly one of the most beautiful thamnophis species. Their colors vary from sky blue, bluish green to lime green w/ varying shades inbetween. Babies don't show these colors at birth and we do not know which colors they will turn out to be as adults. This species feeds on fish, worms, slugs, tadpoles and frogs in the wild. In captivity they fare well on feeder fish, worms or rodents. Many thanks to Paul Bratescu for letting us use his pictures.
