Albino Red-Sided Garter

ALBINO RED SIDED - We are currently working with 2 strains of albinos, one from Iowa and the other from Kansas. The Kansas strain was acquired from John Meltzer in 1998 (hets) and the original albino female was wildcaught from Kansas. We have outcrossed this bloodline and expect to have unrelated albinos/hets available this year. The Iowa strain was acquired from Robert Benn in the summer of 2007. Robert had caught a normal looking gravid red sided female which ended up producing a single female albino red sided. This female is currently doing very well and we expect (het) offspring to be available in the summer of 2009.
